The somewhat craggy peak in the center is Huayna Picchu. The Inca were building on top of it before they abandoned the site. There is a pathway to the top. Entrance is controlled and limited to 400 folks per day. The tickets for HP are tied to your name and passport number (i.e, can't be used by anybody else). If you go, try to purchase the tickets for Huayna Picchu before your trip. Almost anybody can make the climb . . . I did!
